Discovering Aglianico del Vulture

The fertile volcanic soil surrounding Mount Vulture is the ideal habitat for the production of one of Italy's greatest red wines, Aglianico del Vulture DOCG.Its origins are very ancient: it was probably introduced to our country by the Greeks around the 7th-6th centuries BC.

Tastings and guided tours in the characteristic cellars dug into the tuff are frequently organised in the municipalities of the area, proving to be excellent opportunities to discover the unmistakable character of the king of Lucanian wines, increasingly sought after and appreciated in Italy and abroad. It has a ruby red colour, a dry, savoury, warm, harmonious flavour which becomes increasingly velvety as it ages and reaches an average alcohol content of between 12 and 15 degrees.
