By car
From Foggia (Ancona/Bologna)
At the Foggia exit on the A 14 Adriatica (E 55) drive for around 15 km along the ring road (SP 75 and SS 16) and then change to the SS 655 (Foggia-Potenza) towards Potenza. From Foggia after 38 km you reach Candela, after a further 27 km you come to Melfi and finally after 11 km, Rionero in Vulture.
From Bari
Take the A 14 Adriatica motorway (E 55) to the Canosa exit and continue on the A 16 Canosa - Napoli until you reach the Candela exit. Drive for 27 km along the SP 99, SS 655 and SS 658 to Melfi and continue on for another 11 km to Rionero in Vulture.
From Rome / Naples
Take the A 3 Naples - Reggio Calabria motorway and exit at Sicignano - Potenza. Take the E 847 and drive 48 km to Potenza, then the SS 658 for another 43 km to Rionero in Vulture.
From Matera
Take the SP 7 until you reach Ferrandina and continue on the SS 407 to Potenza. From Potenza take the SS 93 in the direction of Melfi/Foggia. After 40 km you will reach Rionero in Vulture.
By train
- For those arriving from the North: from Foggia station, take the train to Potenza and alight at one of the Vulture stations: Melfi, and Rionero in Vulture (Atella, Ripacandida).
- For those arriving from the South: from Potenza Centrale station, take the train to Foggia and alight at a station in Vulture.
